Job Description

The Vendor Performance Manager will oversee vendor performance to ensure adherence to Screwfix’s standards, manage compensation charges, and drive improvements in vendor interactions. This role involves setting performance standards, resolving vendor disputes, and ensuring compliance with vendor processes.

Responsibilities

• Vendor Performance Management: • Deliver top-tier vendor performance by focusing on cost reduction and enhanced customer service (e.g., Vendor OTIF). • Analyze vendor performance against Screwfix standards to drive improvements and inform supply chain planning. • Collaboration and Problem Solving: • Work with supply chain and commercial teams to address vendor challenges and achieve optimal outcomes. • Lead Kaizen workshops with challenging vendors to meet delivery goals. • Process and Compliance: • Ensure vendor processes are consistent, accurate, legally compliant, and well-documented in the vendor manual. • Manage vendor onboarding, including screening and auditing. • Training and Development: • Conduct regular vendor inductions and educational workshops. • Support and manage Screwfix’s compensation charges program, ensuring legal compliance and fairness. • Dispute Resolution and Reporting: • Represent Screwfix in vendor claims and disputes to balance long-term engagement with business expectations. • Act as the liaison with Kingfisher for vendor performance reporting and provide commentary for submissions. • Cross-Functional Engagement: • Contribute to cross-channel thinking on vendor performance metrics to ensure consistency. • Oversee outbound mass communication to vendors when necessary. • Team Leadership and Development: • Engage with team members through regular 1-to-1s and quarterly check-ins. • Support team performance and development goals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain and logistics. • Demonstrated ability to analyze multiple data sets in a supply chain environment. • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. • High competence in using Excel’s analytical functionalities. • Ability to present complex data and operational impacts effectively to various stakeholders. • Experience in process development and implementation that scales complex activities.
