Job Description

The Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and administration of monitoring configurations for both new and existing customers. The role involves managing the LogicMonitor tool, optimizing configurations, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing monitoring services to ensure optimal performance and proactive service.

Responsibilities

• Administration and Optimization: Manage the daily administration of LogicMonitor, configuring and optimizing it for performance and reliability. • Device and Technology Monitoring: Configure and monitor a diverse range of customer devices and technologies, minimizing unnecessary alerts. • Issue Resolution: Identify and troubleshoot monitoring issues, providing effective resolutions in a timely manner. • Continuous Improvement: Enhance monitoring services by developing strategies to reduce downtime and improve service quality. • Custom Solutions: Utilize API calls, PowerShell, and SQL to create custom monitoring solutions tailored to customer needs. • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure monitoring configurations comply with industry standards and best practices; maintain up-to-date documentation. • Expert Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert on monitoring tools and configurations, providing support and guidance to internal teams and customers. • Technological Updates: Stay informed about the latest monitoring technologies and practices, applying new insights to improve processes and solutions.

Requirements

• Experience: Proficient in LogicMonitor configuration and administration, with extensive experience in network device monitoring. • Additional Tools: Previous experience with other monitoring tools is required. • Custom Solutions: Experience in developing custom monitoring solutions using API calls, PowerShell, and SQL. • System Monitoring: Experience with Windows, Linux, and Cloud (Azure, AWS) system monitoring and administration. • Managed Services: Experience working in managed services environments. • Certifications: LogicMonitor LMCA, LMCP, or LMCD certification and Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA) are preferred.
