Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in injection moulding, you will contribute to innovative manufacturing processes and technologies that impact the medical device industry. Your role will involve new product industrialization and validation, focusing on improving manufacturing methods and ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Process Design: Design and implement innovative manufacturing processes and systems, emphasizing patient welfare, product quality, and cost efficiency. • Product Integration: Work with product development teams to integrate new products or changes into the manufacturing process. • Lean Manufacturing: Apply lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize production efficiency. • Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop effective solutions. • Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations. • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance process capabilities using feedback and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the medical devices or high-performance materials sector. • Education: Recognized apprenticeship in injection moulding, toolmaking, or a related field. HNC, HND, or equivalent vocational or higher qualification. • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and understanding of lean manufacturing principles. • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. • Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments. • Commitment to Quality: Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations with a focus on quality.

£80k-£90k
