Job Description

The Learning Operations Administrator at Captiva Learning will provide administrative and operational support to the Learning Operations Department. This role involves managing learner resources, supporting the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and ensuring the smooth execution of learning events and compliance tasks. This position is a maternity cover for a minimum of 9 months, starting from September 2024.

Responsibilities

Learner Support • Zoom: o Create and distribute Zoom links for First Days of Learning. o Upload Zoom links into the Canvas (VLE) Calendar. o Provide troubleshooting support during live events. o Download and organize Zoom recordings into Captiva’s SharePoint. • Canvas: o Update Canvas (VLE) Calendar with learning events and deadlines. o Support in creating new Canvas pages, assignment portals, and uploading content. o Add new learner accounts and send ‘Getting Started’ instructions. • Captiva Learner Support: o Monitor and manage emails in Captiva’s Learning Operations inbox. o Assist with Canvas log-in details, certificates, graduation dates, and personal information changes. Learning Operations Support • Reporting Support: o Provide learner submission lists and track submissions using Canvas. o Collate final grades and manage mail merge communications. • Scheduling: o Support planning of live learning events and updates to the Captiva Delivery Calendar. o Attend meetings with university partners and update Canvas content as needed. • Learning Resources: o Upload and organize learning resources in Captiva’s IP library and SharePoint. o Edit and upload videos and other learning materials into Canvas. • Programme Administration: o Update and track learner status in collaboration with Delivery Team Managers (DTMs). o Monitor and track mitigating circumstances and collaborate with the MIS Department. • University Partnership Compliance: o Assist with reconciliation lists, exam boards, and moderation sheets. o Update Moderation Tracker and upload completed sheets into SharePoint. • Withdrawals and BILs: o Update records for learner withdrawals and BILs in Canvas and relevant spreadsheets.

Requirements

Experience: Experience in administrative support roles, preferably within an educational or learning environment. Education: No specific degree required, but relevant experience or educational background in administration or education is beneficial.

Salary

£30,000 per year
