Job Description

As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and support of PC hardware and software within our client’s environment. You will handle IT requests both remotely and in-person, working closely with users to solve technical issues and provide guidance on the best practises for using corporate hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Respond to IT requests and provide assistance both remotely and in-person, through phone, email, or the incident management system. • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems using diagnostic techniques. Install and configure computer hardware and software. • Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level support or vendors as necessary. • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving IT processes and procedures. • Documentation and Communication: Maintain and develop installation, configuration, and operational procedures. Provide regular updates to management. • Customer Service: Interact with users in a courteous manner and ensure effective resolution of issues.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar customer support role is preferred. Open to recent graduates with relevant degrees. • Technical Skills: o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Office 365. o Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, LDAP, DHCP, DNS, VPN). o Familiarity with Anti-Virus and Encryption technologies is desirable. • Soft Skills: o Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with users. o Effective problem-solving and research abilities. o Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Qualifications: Relevant degree or equivalent experience.

Salary

£14.50-£16.75 p/h
