• Project Definition & Management: Develop project definitions, manage resources, and maintain relationships with various groups. Ensure projects are effectively resourced and aligned with the CLS Project Governance framework.
• Operational Oversight: Handle day-to-day project operations, including scope, budget, and interlock with other projects. Create and execute work plans, manage risks and issues, and ensure adherence to governance standards.
• Reporting & Documentation: Provide detailed project reporting, ensure proper documentation, and maintain comprehensive project plans. Monitor progress, manage project scope and changes, and communicate status to senior management.
• Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, coach junior staff, and manage stakeholders effectively. Influence project teams to achieve goals within constraints of time, budget, and quality.
• Experience: Extensive experience in managing IT security projects, including infrastructure and corporate technology projects. Proven track record of handling complex IT change programs with budgets exceeding £1m.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Microsoft server and desktop solutions, security-focused projects, and cloud services. Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix is also valuable.
• Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Certifications: Formal Project Management certification (MSP, PRINCE2, PMI, APM, SIX SIGMA). Professional accreditation in project management is preferred.
• Education: Relevant degree or equivalent experience in project management.
