• Assist the Occupational Health and Safety Manager in delivering specialised health and safety advice across the organisation.
• Provide guidance on safe work practices, risk assessments, and COSHH-regulated substances.
• Conduct site audits and inspections, supporting managers in ensuring a safe working environment.
• Advise on display screen equipment (DSE) assessments and general safety practices.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, offering guidance on corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, assisting departments in training and development to meet safety regulations.
• Support in monitoring health surveillance to maintain a healthy workplace.
• Build strong relationships with teams, contributing to a safe working environment for all.
• Full, valid driving licence and access to a car.
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety, offering guidance and support to managers and employees.
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections.
• Experience in developing and delivering health and safety training programs.
• Ability to investigate accidents and incidents, implementing preventive control measures.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 Qualification in Health & Safety).
• Professional membership such as Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) – Technical Member (TechIOSH) or higher.
