Job Description

MEI specializes in tailored installations and repair works for both local and global customers. Their projects span from cruise ships to offshore oil rigs and tankers. MEI is expanding its engineering team to meet growing project demands.

Responsibilities

• Vessel Surveys: Conduct detailed surveys including precise measurements, photography, and technical evaluations. • Electrical Standards: Apply knowledge of electrical installation standards and testing. • Technical Issues: Address complex technical problems, fault finding, and design reviews. • Project Planning: Prepare project plans, design packages, work packs, electrical schematics/documents, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS). • Client Communication: Maintain good communication with clients, vendors, and partners. • Project Management: Oversee full project lifecycles, from conception to completion. • CAD Drawings: Assist with creating CAD drawings and electrical designs. • Team Management: Utilize and manage MEI electricians to deliver projects on time and within budget. • Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients and electricians, both remotely and onsite. • Compliance: Adhere to Health and Safety and Quality procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Electrical Systems. • Education: HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is desired. • Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and critical thinking abilities. • Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively. • Travel: Willingness to travel nationally or internationally at short notice. • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English. • Teamwork: Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
