• Proposal Stage:
• Assist in preparing method statements, logistics plans, and addressing potential health, safety, and environmental issues.
• Site Evaluation:
• Walk the site to evaluate design information, review drawings and specifications, and ensure temporary works approval.
• Project Management:
• Produce the health and safety project executive plan.
• Compile the snag list, supervise site clean-up, and confirm work completion during the handover stage.
• Arrange and chair design meetings and workshops; manage samples and mock-ups.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Confirm method statements and risk assessments are approved before commencing work; involve safety managers in the approval process.
• Chair daily meetings with sub-contractors or conduct site walk-arounds, and take formal meeting minutes if required.
• Review new construction drawings, responses to RFIs, and change requests; coordinate with PM and cost manager.
• Bid Information:
• Review bid information, familiarize yourself with package content, and understand the value of managed elements.
• Safety and Quality:
• Conduct safety tours, review on-site method statements, and ensure documentation is filed in Yellow Jacket.
• Relevant degree qualification in construction or a similar field.
• HND or HNC qualification in construction or a related discipline.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB).
• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS training.
• Familiarity with NEC Option C contracts and target cost.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and CDM requirements.
• Digital proficiency and the ability to build client relationships and lead teams effectively.
