– Design and analyze structural systems for various types of buildings and structures, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
– Perform structural calculations and modeling using advanced engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, ROBOT)
– Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with industry standards and building codes
– Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to ensure the integration of structural systems into the overall building design
– Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions and identify potential structural issues or challenges
– Develop and implement strategies for structural repair, reinforcement, or retrofitting, as required
– Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ASCE), and local regulations
– Provide technical guidance and support to project teams during the construction phase, addressing any structural-related queries or concerns
– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction techniques
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
– Proven experience as a Structural Engineer, with a strong background in structural analysis and design
– In-depth knowledge of structural systems, materials, and construction methods
– Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, ROBOT)
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams
– Familiarity with building codes, standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ASCE), and local regulations
– Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
– Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or certification is required
– Knowledge of sustainable design principles and experience with green building practices is preferred
