We are seeking a highly experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our tax accounting team serving the Tampa Bay area and beyond. The ideal candidate should possess an active CPA license and extensive recent experience in taxation within public accounting. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and preparing various tax returns, including individual federal and state, corporations, S corporations, LLCs, partnerships, trusts, and gift taxes is required. The role demands expertise in handling complex tax matters, such as foreign bank accounts, businesses, and expatriate taxation. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive tax guidance, accounting services, and business advisory support to our diverse client base. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for this position.

  • Active CPA license.
  • Must have 5-10 years of tax experience and be able to prepare/review business and individual returns.
  • Prepare individual federal and state tax returns, covering all states.
  • Must be experience with all types of returns, Corporation, S corporation, LLC, partnership, trusts, gift taxes, etc.
  • Must be proficient with QuickBooks.
  • Have good communication skills and can work independently.

Responsible For
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax planning and provide advisory services to clients, recommending strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits legally.
  • Represent clients before tax authorities, such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state tax agencies, in case of audits, appeals, or tax disputes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws, regulations, and precedents, and ensure the firm's practices align with the latest developments.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients on tax implications of business transactions, investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other financial activities.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys and financial advisors, to develop comprehensive tax and financial plans for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to their needs.
